The Importance Of Establishing A Firm Connection With Allah

Hazrat Moulana Shah Wasiyyullah Sahib (Rahimahullah) has written in Wasiyyatus Saalikeen:

“In this era, I deem it imperative for Muslims to establish a firm connection with Allah Ta’ala, as well as with His Rasul (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam). The success of both worlds is hidden therein and that is the cure for all their calamities.

The manner of establishing a connection with Allah Ta’ala is the performance of Salaah and recitation of the Holy Qur’an (the speech of Allah Ta’ala). People need to afford Salaah its due importance and, with complete honour and cognisance of all the etiquettes and presence of heart, recite the Noble Qur’an.

The manner of establishing a firm and correct bond with Rasulullah (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) is adherence to the Sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam). A person should endeavour to keep all his statements and actions in conformance with the Sunnah. Included in this is that a person should make it a habit to recite all those Du’aas daily that have been proven to have been recited by Rasulullah (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) at all the relevant times.”

REFLECTIONS

A Muslim has no option but to submit to Allah Ta’ala and following the blessed Sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam). The need is to become conscious and committed Muslims where the evil character traits (pride, anger, jealousy, miserliness, etc) are expelled and the attainment of virtuous attributes (generosity, humility, gratitude, contentment, etc) are sought after.

The objective is that Allah Ta’ala may become pleased with us and that his assistance can be secured through obedience.

Our sole occupation is to submit to the Shariah and remaining steadfast in searching for those actions that will attract the mercy of Allah Ta’ala.
